San Roque, M. Lhuillier booters shine

CEBU, Philippines - Host San Roque Football Club and the M. Lhuillier-Canduman squad had their hands full after bagging two titles each in the age-group division of 6th San Roque Football Cup at the San Roque field in Brgy. Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

SRFC grabbed the girls 12 and 14 titles, while the University of San Carlos claimed the girls 17-under crown.

SRFC silenced San Roque Querero, 1-0, in the girls 14 final and then posted the same victory over Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in the girls 12.

USC also posted a 1-0 triumph over Abellana National School in the girls 17.

On the other hand, M. Lhuillier-Canduman topped the players 10 and boys 12 categories.

M.Lhuillier-Canduman outsmarted SRFC-A in the players 10 final, 2-1, and later on whipped Bright Academy-Red, 2-0, to take home the champion's trophy in the boys 12.

The Bright Academy booters bounced back through the players 8 with a 1-0 win over the Cebu International School.

The BMALV Football Club bagged the players 6 title after escaping past SRFC, 2-1, while Paref-Springdale went away with the boys 14 crown after posting a 1-0 triumph over MTI-A. (FREEMAN)
