CEBU, Philippines – Mary Joy Tabal felt she’s in heaven these days as she posted back-to-back victories one day after the other via the Run For Kids at the Terraces grounds of Ayala Center-Cebu yesterday.
Tabal proved that her victory over Madelyn Carter in the STC Move with Air last Saturday was no fluke by winning the women’s 15K run.Tabal posted one hour and 36.42 seconds.
Carter placed second in 1:03:7.38, while Meeres Ramirez landed third in 1:09:56.69.
The fourth to 10th placers in the women’s action were Christy Sevilleno (1:16:33.15), Leonora Villamor (1:20:02.68), Mary Ann Benedicto (1:22:16.92), Linton Go (1:26:38.99), Pamela Apohin (1:31:45.81), Catherine Buslon (1:32:23.04) and Corine Nillas (1:33:07.44).
In the men’s 15K class, Jess Gonzaga claimed the top spot with the time of 51:14.32.
Jobert Carolino like Madelyn Carter ended second anew in 52:07.57, while Adonis Singson landed third in 54:59.49. Ramie Lawas settled for fourth in 1:00:25.11, while Arthur Saveron wound up fifth in 1:07.19.34.
Dino Pino occupied the sixth spot in 1:08:14.05 followed by J Arujo in 1:09:41.28.
Dr. Yong Larrazabal, who has been the most dominant running doctor in Cebu, came in eighth with the time of 1:09:58.58, while Elvin Rey Flores occupied the ninth spot in 1:09:59.65 followed by Victor Gracia in 1:10:19.84. (THE FREEMAN)
