Ponce, Quilope rule Mike Rama Darts
CEBU, Philippines - Jerous Ponce and Yoko Quilope snatched the first title available in the 1st Mayor Mike Rama Darts Tournament at Yayoy’s Grill along Orchid Street in Brgy. Capitol Site, this city the other night.
The tandem of Ponce and Quilope topped the open doubles action after beating Alvin Villa and Willie Abrinica.
Allan Veloso and Etong Badayos came out third after edging out Arnel Guba and Teban Montenegro.
After the open doubles comes the four-man team competition this Friday night at the same venue.
The organizing Cebu City Hall Employees Darts Association (CHEDA) was supposed to draw the lots and begin the 4-man team right after the doubles action, but was prevented by the heavy downpour. The team event will be followed by the classified doubles and the youth singles. (FREEMAN)
