Threesome versus Sherilin in JBA hoop final
CEBU, Philippines - The Threesome/Stickerworld devoured Mang Inasal, 96-80, even as Sherilin Plastics whipped AMBL/ACDC, 87-77, to set up a final showdown tonight in the JCI 15th Jaycees Basketball Association (JBA) Metro Cebu Uptown basketball tournament at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
James Relampagos scored 28 points for Threesome/Stickerworld, more than enough to spoil the 31-point explosion of Mang Inasal’s top gunner Montoy Singson.
Dexter So and Voltaire Rosal backed up Singson with 19 and 11 points, respectively, for Threesome/Stickerworld who is the tournament favorite.
In the other game, five players cashed in double figures for Richard Mercado-owned Sherilin Plastics led by bull-strong center Dave Lim with 27 points. Jeremy Huang added 19 markers, while Mercado chipped in 13. Dennis Que and Edmund Odulio each scored 12 points for Sherilin.
Ex-USC Warrior Jason Jay Estella paced AMBL/ACDC with 25 points. Franco Te added 19 points, while Fritz Sullano had 10 in a losing cause.
