Park 'N Go overcomes Sta. Lucia in double overtime

-

CEBU, Philippines - Danny Lisondra sank a booming triple with a few seconds left to play to power Park ‘N Go Bakeshop of skipper Romy Rama to a 109-106 victory over Sta. Lucia in a double overtime match that kicked off the Talisay Balik-Basketball Association (TBA) 2010 tournament at the Talisay Sports Complex.

Park ‘N Go took a slim 26-19 lead early on and still managed to post a seven-point edge at the bend, 45-38.

However, Sta. Lucia staged a tide-turning rally and banking on a blistering 29-14 spurt, they mounted a 67-59 advantage going into the final period.

But Park ‘N Go wasn’t not done yet as it charged back for a 83-all deadlock and later on a 96-all standoff for the second overtime.

In the second extension, Lisondra, who was set up at the corner by ex-SWU Cobra pointguard Michael Arias, hit the winning triple with two seconds remaining.
