KCB stays unbeaten

CEBU, Philippines - The Karl Customs Brokerage (KCB) of team owner Nelson Arnoco escaped with a 79-77 over Naga's Grace Jay to keep the solo lead with a clean 5-0 slate in the Emil's Cup 2010 summer basketball tournament at the Jerry Oberes open court in Brgy. Lipata, Minglanilla.

KCB trailed by 12 points in the first period, 27-15, but fired back in the second canto to wrest the driver's seat at halftime, 45-37.

The score stood at 77-all with only 33 ticks left to play, but Dixon Fuentes played the hero's role by knocking in the game-clincher for KCB.

James Babiera nailed a game-high 27 points for KCB, while Mark Navaja added 11 markers.

Eddie Ravanes tossed in 24 points for Grace Jay, while Jon Santos, Edmy Rivera and Bino Repunta connived for 33 points in a losing cause.
