Siso siblings shine in Prince netfest

- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines - Bernardine “Niño” Siso shared the spotlight anew with his sister Sally Mae at the end of the 2010 Prince Exo3 Next Gen Age-Group Tennis Tournament at the Cebu Country Club yesterday.

After failing to win a title in back-to-back tournaments prior to the Prince event, Niño finally got back on solid ground as he blasted off Israel Abarquez, 6-3, 6-3 to snatch the boys 18-under crown.

In the distaff side, Sally Mae collected her fourth title in the girls 18.The youngest of the three Siso siblings slammed Kristel Mae Buenacosa in the finals, 6-2, 6-1.

On the other hand, Fritz Satera took away the 16-under title after crushing Reynaldo Dimao Jr., 6-0, 6-2.

Dimao, however, bounced back by clinching the 14-under plum at the expense of Jan Godfrey Seno, 6-0, 6-2.

It was “double-trouble” for Seno as he also missed the boys 12 title after losing to Christopher Encarnacion in their final encounter.

The girls 12-under finals was as exciting with the lesser-known Shyne Villareal outsmarting Jana Pages, 6-0, 0-6, 16-14 to take home the crown.

Elgy Dasian and Gener Francis Lambayan completed the winners’ cast after ruling their respective classes.

Dasian topped the girls 14-under category after fending off Berlie Blythe Buanghog, 6-1, 1-6, 10-8, while Lambayan lorded it over in the unisex 10-under after demolishing Kristen Renee Salimbangon, 6-0, 6-0. (FREEMAN NEWS)
