Speedo triathlon at Plantation Bay tomorrow

CEBU, Philippines - Triathletes who missed the deadline for the 2010 Speedo National Age-Group Triathlon Series-Cebu leg can still register during tomorrow’s race at Plantation Bay Resort and Spa.

Cebu leg organizer, Danao City councilor Oscar “Boying” Rodriguez Jr., said those who failed to register on time can still be accommodated during race day.

But he said they will have to settle the penalty fee set by the sanctioning body, the Triathlon Association of the Philippines.

There are now 60 triathletes who have registered for the event. They include three foreign nationals and enthusiasts from Bacolod City and Cagayan de Oro City.

Participants will be classified into different age-groups, including the relay teams. (FREEMAN NEWS)
