UV Lancers forge rubbermatch against Panthers

- GGM -

CEBU, Philippines - Playing with wounded pride, the PTT Fuel-UV Lancers mercilessly devoured the Aerosol-USPF Panthers, 87-67, to forge a rubbermatch in their best-of-three series for third place in the collegiate division of the 4th CESAFI Partner's Cup at the Cebu Coliseum.

Earlier, the Ave Maria Sanctuary Park-USJ-R Baby Jaguars also tied the series in their battle for third place in the secondary division with a 66-60 disposition of the Bibbo-CIT Wildkittens.

Leading by 18 points at halftime, 51-33, the Lancers proved to be more potent in the final period as Marl Señeris, Jerome Silva and Jan Michael Auditor each scored one triple in the windup to pound the Panthers away.Auditor scored all his nine points from beyond the arc, but it was Señeris who topscored for the Lancers with 16 points.
