Pañeros,Super Idols share lead
CEBU, Philippines - Team Pañeros led by skipper Nilo Balorio and defending champion Super Idols of playing coach Bong Pepito dumped separate rivals to earn a share of lead with similar 5-1 win-loss slates in the 4th Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) 2010 basketball tournament at the Capitol Parish Gym along Escario Street, this city.
Pañeros had a sluggish start resulting to a five-point deficit, 23-28, but made a strong move in the second half to cruise to a 54-48 victory over the Pecandela Law Firm.
On the other hand, the Super Idols scored a 68-47 rout of the lowly Iron Eagles.
In the other games, the Young Lawyers Association of Cebu (YLAC) scored a come-from-behind 59-56 victory over the undermanned Yan C. Rico, while the Bros N Law led by the Rama brothers---Estong and Enric, demolished the Mt. Zion, 74-54.
