Race Director Jong Uy, for his part, anticipates a very tough competition this

Sunday as riders who had been defeated during the first leg done in January also at Kartzone have vowed to avenge to their loss.

Aside from the individual supremacy, at least seven teams are anticipated to topple Honda Motorworld’s own team.

The first leg saw Honda Motorworld dominating the podium as riders proved their worth on the team.

Both participants and spectators for this Sunday’s action will also get a chance to win in a raffle draw if they will be able to show a logo of Honda Motorworld from any item they will be showing out to the organizers during race day.

To spice up the event, Honda Motorworld will also be launching their new line of apparel and accessories for Honda racing.

In another development, Borromeo said that the planned clinic also this summer for the beginners’ class will have to be set aside after an expert rider from Manila, who they were suppose to tap to hold the clinic could not make it due to contract restrictions with his sponsor.

Borromeo though still hopes that this will eventually push through so that more locals will be encouraged to try underbone racing instead of doing illegal drag races here.

Borromeo also hopes that Luzon will be able to pick up on the said motorsport soon after being left behind by Visayas and Mindanao in terms of exposure.

“This circuit racing only happens in the Visayas and Mindanao right now. We’re looking into a National level, but we have to cultivate Luzon first so we can formalize this kind of racing,” said Borromeo.   (FREEMAN NEWS)
