No Care Racing bags 11 trophies in autocross tourney
CEBU, Philippines - As promised, Team No Care Racing (NCR) made its presence felt by harvesting 11 trophies in the kick-off leg of the Philippine Autocross Series over the weekend at Parkmall.
Speed demon Jong King spearheaded Team NCR’s decent showing by emerging as champion in both the all-Wheel drive and the all-Subaru class. Riding on Toyota MRS, he also placed second in the rear wheel drive, second runner-up in novice modified B and C, and third runner-up in the Team Race category.
King also recorded the sixth fastest time of the day at 39.15 seconds, capping his day with a total of seven trophies.
Robert “Bobby” Pangilinan, on the other hand, took the second place honors in the automatic class, Alan “Big Al” G. Choachuy settled for third in the novice stock A, Philip Khan “Lik-Lik” Lim wound up second in the experience stock C, Anthony Khe finished third in the all-Toyota class and Dennis Corro came in third in the Team Race category.
The top honors overall though during the first leg went to Team DGL and Team Kartzone. Mato Tan of Team DGL clocked in the fastest time of 38.35 seconds followed by Jess Garcia of Kartzone in 38.93 seconds and DGL main man David G. Lim, Sr. in 38.93 seconds.
Team NCR’s latest campaign on the racetrack was supported by Dewfoam, DuraBEND Pipes, Dewfoam Motorsports, Maxxis Tires, Mobil 1, Aldo Service Center, Nodalos and Total Oil. – EBV (FREEMAN NEWS)
