MS MOTOSUIT MOTO-X : 3 races set this summer

-

CEBU, Philippines - The 2010 MS Motosuit Motocross Series goes full blast this summer with three successive races in different areas in the Cebu Province.

This year’s series opened last January, but no follow-up race was made right away since riders and organizers have some other commitments.

The second leg will be taking place on April 11 in Calambua, San Remigio as announced during the SCOOP Forum at Baseline Sports and Recreation Center yesterday.

The second leg dubbed as the Ornopia Cup is actually the forerunner of the MS Motosuit Series.

The Ornopia Cup was organized by sportsman Lou Ornopia as a treat to his kababayans 12 years ago and giving back something to them for all the blessings that their family received throughout the year.

What used to be just a fiesta highlight turned to be a breeding ground of many young talents and eventually became a full series.

Now on its fifth staging, this year’s series is targeted to have not less than 12 legs.

After the action in Calambua, the series heads to Medellin.

Then the fourth leg will be on May 2 in San Fernando.

After the National and local elections, the battle will be back in San Remigio, but this time at the town proper.

Prior to the said Calambua race, the best of 2009 in the MS will finally be awarded in the second week of April at the Cebu Grand Convention Center.

“We were supposed to have the awarding of the overall top performers of 2009 later this month, but we have awardees that can’t make it on the initial schedule so we decided to have it on the second week of April,” Ornopia told The Freeman. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol   (FREEMAN NEWS)
