Poro rules Inter-Island cluster of Red Durano hoopla
CEBU, Philippines - The youthful Porohanon cagers slammed Pilar, 66-47, to snatch the championship in the Camotes Island Inter-Town cluster of the 5th District Congressman Red Durano Cup 2010 basketball tournament over the weekend at Pilar gym.
The Porohanons, thus, will represent Camotes in the Congressman Durano Cup semifinals this summer in Danao City.
Poro had a sluggish start resulting into a 22-29 deficit a few minutes before halftime.
However, Poro staged a daring rally in the third period to grab the lead for good, 41-36.
Dodong Estrera and Boy Gonzales paced Poro with 18 and 11 points, respectively.
Bong Banes and Toto Pelota led Pilar with 31 points combined.
