Pañeros log third win in IBP caging

CEBU, Philippines - The smaller Pañeros led by skipper Nilo Balorio defeated the Bros N Law reinforced by the Rama brothers Estong and Enric, 69-56, for its third consecutive win in the 4th Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) basketball tournament at the Capitol Parish gym along Escario Street, this city.

The Pañeros took a commanding 18-point lead, 53-35, heading into the fourth period, leaving the Bros N Law in disarray the rest of the way.

Gerald Mendoza topped the Pañeros with 12 points, while Ting Ordeniza and Dennis Alino tossed in 12 and 10 markers, respectively.

Richard Bauzon led Bros N Law with a game-high 24 points.

In the other games, the Pecandela Law Firm scored a 69-52 upset over defending champion Super Idols,  YLAC defeated Mt. Zion, 77-69, while Iron Eagle won by default over Yan C. Rico.

Pecandela, thus, joined the Super Idols at second place with identical 2-1 win-loss records.
