Island Sportscapade set in Bantayan
CEBU, Philippines - A series of sporting events will take place this summer via the Island Sportscapade on March 31 to April 2 at the Mac’s Hide Villacastin Beach in Sta.Fe, Bantayan Island.
It will be the ninth edition of the yearly event organized by Funsports led by Benjoe Jimenez.
It features triathlon, duathlon and the Oceanman.
In triathlon, participants have to deal with a 1.5-kilometer swim, 40km bike and 10km run.
Entries in duathlon, on the other hand, will go through a 2.5km run, 20km bike and 2.5km run again.
Duathlon has two classifications, one using the road bikes and the other one with mountainbikes.
For those who are not so good in biking, they are better off with the Oceanman on April 2 where athletes will be running and swimming for 200 meters under four laps. —Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
