Free running clinic at Active Zone

-

CEBU, Philippines - For those who missed yesterday’s seminar on Optimal Running Technique, local runners will have their last chance today with the second class taking place at 1 pm at the Active Zone of Ayala Center-Cebu.

It’s a free clinic to be conducted by former RP top triathlete Arland Macasieb, thanks to the revolutionary line of shoes, Newton Running and RUNNR Cebu in their efforts on helping the local runners another chance to further enhance their skills.

Before the staging of the Cebu City Marathon, there were a couple of running clinics held but this time around, the three-hour activity will focus on common running errors among recreational runners, attributes of elite runners, running postures, running tools, drills and skills and the ”formula for speed”.

Still fresh from his stint in the Ironman in Lankawi, Malaysia , Macasieb looks forward to the clinic.

“I am very happy that Newton Running and the country’s first world-class running specialty store, RUNNR, is sponsoring this clinic. This event will help runners from all classes, whether beginners or hardcore running enthusiasts, with the correct running form and proper techniques on how to improve their performance and most of all, to avoid injuries,” Macasieb said.

“For 2010, running will still be the number one fitness and sports activity for the Filipinos. Since part of RUNNR’s advocacy is to help and guide runners with shoes and running equipment, Arland Macasieb’s talk on Optimal Running Techniques will surely give runners valuable tips to improve their running skills,” says RUNNR founder Toby Claudio. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol   (FREEMAN NEWS)
