Assessment nips Canillas in Customs cage tourney

CEBU, Philippines - The Assessment Division of coach Rady Abarintos bounced back from a previous loss and vented its ire on Canillas-Gonzaga Brokerage, 77-65, in the Bureau of Customs 1st Port of Cebu Sportsfest basketball tournament at the Benedicto College gym in Mandaue City.

Calling the shots for Assessment in the absence of head coach Junard Ciabo, Abarintos had four of his starters scoring in double figures.

Daniel Enriquez, a reserve for the University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters in the upcoming CESAFI season, finished with 12 points, while Dondon Cadungog added 11 markers. Noel Medalle and Tata Laborte both chipped 10 points.

Cecil Concha was the lone double-digit scorer for Canillas with 12.
