Lai Garden makes finals in GAA caging
CEBU, Philippines - The Lai Garden hoopsters of playing coach Boy Te banked on the shooting acumen of Inting Reyes to trounce Evan Aulga, 91-78, and advance into the finals of the Guadalupe Athletic Association (GAA) 1st Conference basketball tournament at the Guadalupe Sports Complex.
Reyes, whose shots clicked at any angles, netted 22 points, even as two other Lai Garden players donated twin figures.
With the win, Lai Garden set up a championship showdown with Aqua Serv Mineral Water this Sunday. Aqua Serv booked the other final ticket after booting out Swan, 105-100.
Pointguard Gaga Cabanilla had 28 points for Evan Aulga, which will face next Swan in the battle for third place.
