CEBU, Philippines - With everything she got, a victory in the 'Run With A Smile' and a unique Valentine’s Day celebration with her husband Yong, singer-actress Donna Cruz-Larrazabal could not ask for more on her birthday yesterday.
Dr. Yong and Donna Larrazabal spent Valentine’s Day by racing through a 10-kilometer course side-by-side, which they even made more memorable by dominating the couples division.
The Larrazabals beat the Escariñas for the top spot, while Noy and Amale Jopson could only get into the third spot.
In the individual battle, Kenyan Simon Losiaboi and Mary Grace Delos Santos remained unstoppable after winning their respective classes.
Losiaboi clocked in 32 minutes and 23.151 seconds to bag the men's open crown, while Elmer Bartolo came in second with the time of 33:41.47. Ian Bernido placed third in 33:56.34.
In the distaff side, De los Santos posted the time of 38:58.74 to clinch the top spot, while Mary Joy Tabal landed second in 40:42.50 followed by Marlyn Alin in 48:06.47.
Roland Batiancila topped the 5K action followed by Jobert Carolino and Rolan Onrada trailing. The top three finishers in the women's bracket were Rose Angeli Amores, Lennie Caduada, and Diodel Moralla.
In the 3K category, Ramon Carsido that ran away the first place honors, while Rafael Tan and Eugene Esteban occupied the next two seats.
In the girls 3K, the top three winners were Mizraim Capangpangan, Camille Flor and Cecilia May Uy. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
