Special 'Run With A Smile' today

CEBU, Philippines - The ‘Run With A Smile’ unfolds early this morning at The Terraces grounds of Ayala Center Cebu.

And it’s not just a plain running event as it’s a run-for-cause, a Dental Awareness month activity and a special date for couples on Valentine’s Day.

It’s a special date for couples in the sense that the organizing Cebu Dental Society under the Philippine Dental Asssociation-Cebu Chapter together with the Larrazabal Eye and the Philippine Heart Association are adding up a category for married couples.

For the couples action, they have to run within five meters from each other for the entire 10-kilometer run and should finish together in holding hands.

The winning couple will earn a dinner for two at a still undisclosed establishment, while the second and third placers will take home special prizes.

The other categories to be contested are the 10K, 5K and the 3K where most of the dentists under the organizing body are expected to run.

The top three in the 10K class will pocket P3,000, P2,000 and P1,000. Aside from that, the youngest and oldest runner as well as the best in costume will receive P500 each.—Caecent No-ot Magsumbol   (FREEMAN NEWS)
