Mambaling dominates Go Ching Hai dance tourney

-

CEBU, Philippines - Mambaling grabbed five of the six golds at stake to rule the seventh leg of the Go Ching Hai-Martina Cup and ML Kwarta Padala Cup Dancesport and Hip-Hop Circuit Season 2 at the Atillo gym in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.

Overall, Mambaling finished with five gold, four silver and three bronze medals.

Daryn Suarez and Danica Cabanes contributed a double gold for Mambaling through the juvenile standard and latin event.

Suarez and Cabanez beat Guadalupe’s Joseph Tinio and Hanna Ricafranca in the standard and edged out teammates Roberto Cañiban and Ellah Marie Marquez in the latin battle.

Mambaling posted a 1-2-3 finish in the youth standard with Robby Masocol and Namue Santillan winning the top spot. Jon Maurice Behena and Niza Zanoria came in second followed by Giovanni Carlos and Wendlyn Jane Estenor.

Masocol and Santillan missed a double gold when they lost to their teammates Shardie Baydal and Vaudeville Butanas in the latin discipline.

Mambaling’s fifth gold were handed over by Jubert Lu Suico and Rommelyn Manto in the junior latin.

Mambaling failed to sweep all golds in the open action, with Guadalupe ruling the junior division of the modern standard discipline through the efforts of Joseph Miguel Cantilla and Krissa Marte Canoog.

In the hip-hop competition, Pardo’s United Crew was unopposed. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol   (FREEMAN NEWS)
