Mambaling dancers bag 4 of 6 golds

CEBU, Philippines - Mambaling grabbed four of the six gold medals at stake in the open division to dominate the Mabolo leg of the 2009-2010 Go Ching Hai and Martina Cup and ML Kwarta Padala Cup Dancesport and Hip-hop Circuit-Season 2 at the Mabolo Elementary School’s complex.

Aside from the four golds, Mambaling also got three silvers and two bronzes.

Jubert Suico and Rommelyn Manto led the charge for Mambaling with two golds through the junior latin and standard action.

Robby Masocol and Namue Santillan contributed a gold from the youth latin class and another gold from Daryn Suarez and Danica Canabes in the juvenile latin division.

Masocol and Santillan missed a double gold after beaten by Ramos’ Jamil Miñoza and Jasmin Pogoy in the standard youth competition.

The other gold went to Guadalupe’s Joseph Cantilla and Krissa Marte Canoog after impressing the adjudicators in their dance routines in the junior latin.

On the other hand, the closed competition or for those under the Mabolo area only saw Janperson Baruc and Ivy Ghel Casas willing the juvenile latin’s top spot, Warren Tuico and Khate Macasero in the latin junior and Roldan Abejo and Carmelle Arenda in the lation youth division.

In the standard division, it was Edgardo Sanchez and Mary Rose Macasero who won the juvenile class and Jack Bolotano and Mari Field Cortes in the youth class. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol   (FREEMAN NEWS)
