Apartelle Suites keeps lead in BNB caging

CEBU, Philippines - The Apartelle Suites subdued Eigado Real Estate to firm up its grip of the overall lead with a 6-1 slate in the 1st Benjamin Neri Borromeo (BNB) Memorial basketball tournament at the Immanuel Bible College )IBC) gym in Banawa, this city.

Jori Perez knocked in a crucial triple in the closing minutes of the contest that came to be the turning point of Apartelle’s victory. In the final 58 seconds, Wilson Gabucan nailed another 3-point dagger to wrap up the match for the Apartelle Suites.

Gabucan topscored for Apartelle Suites with 20 points, while former SIT Skyblazer Oliver Sanoy chipped in 14 markers. Ex-USC Warrior Leon Floro “Bong” Eleazar added 11 followed by Perez with nine.

Martin Grogaard fired 19 points for Eigado, which slipped to 3-3.
