Cabahug, Borbon bag two titles in Honda underbone race

CEBU, Philippines - Raul “Keken” Cabahug and Mario Borbon emerged as the brightest riders in the opening leg of the Honda Motorworld Underbone Circuit Racing at Kartzone.

Cabahug of Cyrus Racing Team claimed two championship titles and a runner-up finish, while Borbon bagged two crowns.

The Honda Motor-world-sponsored Cabahug ruled the ginners 100-115 super stock, while Mark Capoy of Skit Garage and Jeslouie Vega wound up second and third, respectively.

Cabahug also proved too much for his opponents in the 125 superstock. His teammate Moises Muñuz took the first runner-up honors followed by Capoy.

Another CRT-Honda Motorworld bet Garry Cañeda, on the other hand, prevented Cabahug from a triple feat by outsmarting the latter for the top spot in 4-automatic open. BMR-Honda Motorworld’s Robert Paul Mencias finished third.

Like Cabahug, Borbon romped off with a pair of first place trophies via the novice 125 open and the novice 100-115 open. Borbon of X-Racing outsmarted Cañeda in the two classes he dominated. Well-known underbone specialist Lyndon Requilme settled for third in the 100-115 open, while Bradz Racing Team’s Christopher Rey Manlise got the third spot in the novice 125 open. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
