Power Forty crushes DARUSBA
CEBU, Philippines - Gideon Bughao fired 24 points as the Power Forty Selection blasted the visiting Danao Ruby Star Basketball Association (DARUSBA), 118-101, for its second straight win in the first Cebu Golden Basketball League at the Inayawan Sports Complex.
In the other game, the Beter Run Basketball Association (BRBA) of team leader Danny Duran snapped out of its two-game slump at the expense of Naga Above Forty Basketball Association (NAFBA), 80-75.
Bughao was ably backed up by burly center Cesar Ortega with 20 points even as four others cashed in double figures. Jingging Gacayan and Atty. Flor Yosores each scored 16, while MichaelA rias and Carding Vernaiz added 14 and 11 points, respectively.
Power Forty, thus, joined Los Amigos Basketball Association (LABA) atop the leaderboard with similar 2-0 slates. Doods Campos, on the other hand, paced Better Run with 24 points, while Dodong Espinosa and Poten Ledesma banged in 31 points combined.
