Motocross event today in San Fernando

CEBU, Philippines - The 17th and final leg of the 4th MS Motosuit Motocross Series dubbed as the “2009 Mayor Neneth Reluya Motocross Challenge” blasts off today in Brgy. Poblacion, San Fernando, Cebu.

Some of the country's top riders will see action in the lung-busting race. Among the competing teams include Lanao del Norte led by Sultan Naga Dimaporo Mayor Motalid Dimaporo, the Dipolog Cycles Unlimited Racing Team headed by executive class rider Atty. Flint Concha, PowerSports Racing led by Jonas Adlawan, Quickflight-Castrol Racing, Keiz BJ of Seigfred Ornopia and SEL-J Sports among others.

Among the Cebuano riders to watch out for are Seigfred Ornopia in the executive and his son Brylle in the mini class, Jon-Jon Adlawan in the expert division, Donkey Sanchez in the local and open enduro, John Flores in the novice open production.

Quickflight Racing manager Pepo Rubi and Mayor Neneth's husband Nonoy Reluya designed the race course which is patterned after that of the international standards.

This year's series consists of 17 legs staged in different areas in Cebu, Negros Oriental and Dipolog City in Mindanao. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
