BIR edges DAR

CEBU, Philippines - The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) dribblers led by skipper Yoli Meso scored a 104-78 rout of Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to even its record to 4-4 in the Association of Regional Executives in National Agencies (ARENA-7) Sportsfest 2009 basketball tournament at the Central Command (Centcom) covered court in Brgy. Apas, this city.

The BIR used a searing 35-18 rally anchored on Leo Galvez and Clint del Rosario to post a 50-40 advantage at halftime.

From there onwards, BIR went unstoppable and padded its lead to 20 points, 79-59, entering the final canto.

Galvez and Del Rosario paced BIR with 17 points apiece. Robin Victor, Meso and Weng Dizon chipped in 39 markers combined.
