GAA five battles cecaba All-Stars this pm

CEBU, Philippines - The Guadalupe Athletic Association (GAA) led by its president Dr. Boy Te braces for a tough challenge as they clash head-on with the formidable CECABA All-Stars of dreaded 3-point sniper Chester Cokaliong in an exhibition match today at the Guadalupe Sports Complex.

Te and his wards defeated the best from the Mandaue Jaycees last year and this task against the CECABA stars is certainly harder than the previous one. The goodwill encounter serves as one of the highlights of the annual fiesta of Brgy. Guadalupe on December 12.

Equipped with prolific outside shooters and speedy guards, the CECABA All-Stars is composed of Chester Cokaliong, his brother Christopher Cokaliong, Ricky Yu, Samuel Sia, Wilson Yu, Edwin Kaw, Joel Chan, Ryan Mendez, Richard Lanutan and the ageless playmaker Zotico “Toko” Tan.

The GAA side, on the other hand, will be spearheaded by the deadly one-two punch of Vincent Reyes and Jimbo Noel. They will play alongside Joselito “Mamah” Ocampo, Jeffrey Diola, Juanito Sasing, Andy Minoza, Calixto Perez, Greg Bamba, Tim Dinampo, bullstrong center Chito Hernandez and veteran sentinel Gaga Cabanilla.  - GGM (THE FREEMAN)
