Mambaling bets sizzle in dance competition

CEBU, Philippines - Host Mambaling had a grand time at its turf to rule the kick off leg of the Go Ching Hai and Martina Cup-M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala Cup Dancesport Competition Season 2.

Mambaling grabbed three out of the six golds at stake in the open division spiced up with three silver and bronze medals apiece.

Mambaling’s Chris Dharen Suarez and Gemma Cabanes snatched two golds via the juvenile standard and latin class.

Jubert Suico and Rommelyn Manto produced Mambaling’s third gold in the standard junior division.

Guadalupe and Buhisan shared the second spot with identical 1-1-1 gold-silver-bronze medal haul.

Guadalupe got it’s gold from Patrick Nain and Tesalonika Bactol in the youth standard, while Buhisan topped the latin open class behind the efforts of Jimmy Jabonero and Concepcion Gonzaga.

Poblacion Pardo claimed the last and sixth gold through its junior latin bets in Jeffrey Ruben Benarao and Kenia Marto.

In the closed action, Joshua Cabaras and Anna Mirafuentes ruled the juvenile standard and latin division, Jubert Suico and Rommelyn Manto reigned supreme in the junior latin and standard, Shardie Baydal and Vaudeville Butanas lorded it over in the youth standard, while John Michael Cambaya and Quisy Chavez shone the brightest in latin youth.

In the hip-hop contest, Apocalypse defeated Jakira Kiyuki to lift champion’s trophy.

The second leg of this DanceSport Team Cebu City-organized event will take place in Tejero tomorrow. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
