Emilmich, Mawin's Kitchen score in JS hoopla

CEBU, Philippines - Team Emilmich of Emil Badon drubbed the Kamikaze Knights, 74-57, while Mawin’s Kitchen of Sherwin Lequit blasted Soil Guard, 80-68, to remain unbeaten in five games in the JS Contractors Cup 2009 Christmas League at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Gym in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.

Emilmich went off to a hot start with two sets of furious rallies that bloated their lead from a 16-10 count to an imposing 47-19 bulge at the turn.

Robin Tagaloguin and Angel Ilagan paced Emilmich with 14 and 12 points, respectively. Michael Badon added 11 points followed by Titing Piliotas with 10.

Joel Banjo topped Kamikaze with 30 points.

On the other hand, Mat Valleo topscored for Mawin’s Kitchen with 24 points followed by Reginald Taborada with 20. Tonton Caparoso scattered 20 markers for Soil Guard.
