MS Motosuit moto-x shifts to Boljoon
CEBU, Philippines - Exciting and intense racing action heats up today as the 2009 MS Motosuit Motocross Series unravels its 15th leg at a specialized race course in Brgy. Baclayan of the historic southern municipality of Boljoon.
Dubbed as the 3rd Mayor Deogenes Derama Motocross Challenge, at least 60 daredevils are all set to showcase their fast-paced speed and maneuvering skills as they tackle the rugged terrains of the heart-pounding race organized by Alexius Celis and supported by the provincial government of Cebu under the flagship of Gwendolyn F. Garcia.
The event is also backed up by Provincial Board Member Teresita Celis, the municipal government of Boljoon under the leadership of Deogenes “Wargong” Derama and Vice Mayor Merlou Derama, PSR Racing Team and Motofix.
With the 14th leg held just last week, there are some riders who are still recovering from injuries, but pundits believe that it’s going to be a free-for-all battle today in this Castrol Power One-sponsored joust.
As usual, the categories to be contested range from the experts down to the beginners.
Since the inception of the MS Motosuit series in 2006, this year’s edition has already surpassed the most number of legs with 15, so far.
The figure is bound to increase as MS Motosuit top honcho Lou Ornopia said that there are still more individuals who are trying to have their races get lined up before the year ends. Ornopia said he is contemplating at the moment whether or not to accept those offers.
Ornopia added that the other good news for MS Motosuit is that some individuals and companies have already expressed their intent to backstop their keenly-awaited 2010 Series including the Global Quality Motor Parts Corporation, an affiliate of Norkis Group of Companies, through its managing head Reynaldo S. Buctuan and Norkis Vis-Min area manager Noel Micaros.
Also pledging their full support to the forthcoming MS Motosuit races are the Motormate Group of Companies through its CEO Carlos “Bong” Macasarte and marketing consultant Sol Damole, Roel Gestopa of GR Cycle Parts and Bob Son of Dayang Motocycle among others.—Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (FREEMAN NEWS)
