AVGCC Jungolf Challenge

FULL POINT - Nimrod NL Quiñones -

I was hoping to celebrate the World Series victory of the New York Yankees yesterday, but too bad AJ Burnett seemed to have lost his bearings and allowed the Philadelphia Phillies to score three runs on the first inning.

I had wanted to celebrate yesterday as I was watching the game with the biggest Yankees fan in our home, my son Nico, who knows more about the team that I do.

I guess it is also good that the series is heading back to New York for game 6. I sure hope that it would end by then.

Go Yankees!

The 5th Alta Vista Jungolf Challenge is now on its final day.

Alta Vista’s Vijay Vasandani is on solo third with 155 strokes.

In class B, Gio Gandionco of Alta Vista has showed his dominance with a two-day total of even-par 144 strokes shooting rounds of 71 and 73. A very far second is Aris Mata of Aguinaldo with 160 strokes.

I met Gio and his dad Opep at the clubhouse yesterday. Opep is one of those parents, who are very supportive of the sporting activities of their kids.
