Cebu darters shine in Masskara tournament

CEBU, Philippines - Roy Laude and William Encorporado led a 1-2 Cebu finish in the open singles event of the 10th Masskara and New Tops Millennium Darts Open Invitational Tournament at the New Tops Millennium Plaza in Bacolod City.

Laude proved steadier in the finals against Encorporado while two other Cebuano darters Alvin Villa and Carlos Demegilio shared fifth and sixth places.

Roger Dequit, another Cebuano darter, and Bacolod’s Bernard Ciador finished second in the doubles competition. All-Cebu tandem of Reydan Colina and Florencio Reales together with Laude and Raymund Pillones tied for fifth and sixth places.

Encorporado snatched another runner-up trophy in the 3-man team event while Colina and his teammates settled for third.

Sharp, Panasonic, Condura and Sanyo sponsored the tournament while Terton Craft Cebu provided the dartboards. The Association of Negros Darters and Darts Clubs (ANDDC) hosted the event. —Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
