4th Gullas Cup practical shooting contest set Oct. 9-11

CEBU, Philippines - Some of Cebu’s top shooters will once again test each other’s speed and accuracy in hitting their targets through the 4th Gullas Cup, a Level 2 Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA)-sanctioned match set from October 9 to 11 at the Maghaway Firing Range insided the BJMP Compound in Talisay City.

Presented by the Cebu Talisay Aqua City Gun Club, Inc. in partnership with the Talisay City Sports Commission, the three-day shootfest features seven stages classified with varying courses from short, medium to long.

These are “Close Door Session” for Stage 1, “Guard’s Call” for Stage 2, “Looking Back” for Stage 3, “Talisay Depot” for Stage 4, “Visiting Hour” for Stage 5, “Aqua’s Finest” for Stage 6, and “Give Me A Rest” for Stage 7.

The Range Officer’s Match is set from 12 nn to 5 pm tomorrow, while the formal opening ceremony will take place on Friday yet at 9 am.

The categories to be contested are the standard law/mil hi-cap, standard single stack, production, open for ladies, juniors and seniors, revolver STD, and modified.

Registration fee is pegged at P1,200 for regular shooter, P200 for club member and P600 for both military/lawman and junior shooter. Fumble zone is set at P50 per session.

The Gullas-sponsored event is organized by CTACGCI under the leadership of Aberdovey V. Belleza.
