Mayor Jonas Cortes boxing opens in Mandaue tonight
CEBU, Philippines - Twenty-four boxers will show their skills when the Mayor Jonas Cortes Boxing at the Park Amateur Boxing Series unfolds tonight at the Mandaue City Plaza Square.
Bantayan Island is leading the field with nine boxers in this month’s boxing extravaganza.
The boxers from Bantayan Island are Ian Villanueva (24 kgs.), Mack Jimenez (34 kgs.), Ryan Villacampa (38 kgs.), Ramon Desamparado (46 kgs.), Daryl Desamparado and Dino Dawa (48 kgs.), Zalde Aroa and Christian Apawan (54 kgs.).
Cabancalan National High School has four entries.
The Flores Boxing Club, last month’s champion, has three entries along with the Philippine-Australian Boxing Club.
