Cebu Striders rule PSME footrace
CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Striders once again made waves in local running circuit by topping the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers Run yesterday at the Baseline Sports and Recreation Center gounds along Juana Osmeña Street, this city.
This time around, it was Crifrankreadel Indapan who got the top spot in the men's division after completing the eight-kilometer race in 25 minutes and 47.05.
Indapan’s teammate Elmer Bartolo took the second place honors with a 25:58.18 clocking, while Adonis Singson placed third in 26:33.53.
Rounding up the top 10 performers were Revodem Aranas (27:05.75), Miljone Luterte (28:10.17),
Paul James Zafico (29:56.09), Felix Lopez (30:04.20), Reboy Idjao (33:22.77), Roger Nadela (34:32.89) and Francis Jason Blasco (35:00.83).
In the distaff side, Mary Grace de los Santos of the Castrol Philippines-sponsored Cebu Striders stamped her class anew with the time of 31 minutes and 13.49 seconds.
Mary Joy Tabal ended up second with 38:25.88 followed by Florence Mata in 43:13.25.
Completing the top 10 cast were Sander Ugalino (44:59.30), Susan Militante (47:25.01), Marlen Limpag (50:46.62), Luisita Jadulco (52:02.59), Roselyn Yu (56:02.80), Jonalyn Sarip (56:54.43) and Ginalyn Villanueva (1:01:46.91).
In the 4K run of this Arbee's Bakeshop and Baseline Sports and Recreation Center-sponsored event, Jorry Ycong went away with the first place honors in 12:22.47, while Joel Delposo (12:26.41) and Jobert Carolino (12:40.58) occupied the next two spots. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
