Super Idols thrash Pañeros
CEBU, Philippines - The Super Idols of coaches Bong Pepito and Erwin Heyrosa scored a lopsided 73-57 victory over the Pañeros of Jun Felicitas, 73-57, in the 3rd Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) basketball tournament at the Capitol Parish gym along Escario Street, this city.
Despite the absence of ace playmaker Ramsey Quijano whose father passed away the other day, the Super Idols dominated Pañeros the entire game. They were ahead by 10 points, 51-41, at the end of the third period and parlayed it into a 16-point rout at the final buzzer.

The Pañeros were led by Barry Busi with 16 points.
In the other game, the Pecandela Law Firm went through some scary moments before wiping out the Casino Rubbing Alcohol, 68-65.
Tommy Yu hit a crucial triple that shattered a 63-all deadlock and gave Pecandela a 66-63 edge with 18 seconds left to play. Casino’s William Mañus countered with a basket, but Wilson Tagsip answered it with a cluch hit to seal Pecandela’s victory.
Yu and Jessie Capoy paced Pecandela with 12 points each, while Russ Mark Gamallo and Tagsip chipped in 21 markers combined.
