City Hall Games today

CEBU, Philippines - City officials and their staff take a break from their duties to battle each other in this year’s Cebu City Hall Inter-Department sportsfest set to open early today at the Cebu City Sports Center.

Mayor Tomas Osmeña will lead the opening ceremony with Vice-Mayor Mike Rama and Councilors Jack Jakosalem, chairman of the Committee of Games Amusements and Raul Alcoseba, vice-chairman of the Cebu City Sports Commission.

Twenty departments will vie for supremacy in eight events namely basketball, volleyball, athletics, badminton, scrabble, chess and table tennis. They will also participate in the parade with their respective muses.

The Mayor’s Office, the defending champion, lead the competing teams that includes Accounting, SP, Administration, CCMC, Assessors, CHD, Agriculture, GSO, DPS, Registrar, DSWS, MICS, City Treasurer, CTO, Agriculture,  DMDP, DEPW and the City Attorney’s Office.—Caecent No-ot Magsumbol   (FREEMAN NEWS)
