CEBU, Philippines - Defending champion Teletech Titans coasted to their fifth straight victory in as many games at the expense of Wipro, 78-66, in the 5th Inter-BPO Basketball Championships last Saturday at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
The Titans trailed by seven at halftime, 29-36, but came out directing in the third period to snatch the driver's seat, 52-46, for good.
Laurenz Limpangog paced Teletech with 16 points, while Erwin James Abellanosa and Noel Clemente chipped in 25 markers combined.
John Paul Escudero was the lone double-digit scorer for Wipro with 15 points.
Western Wats, on the other hand, pummeled ICT Group, 59-49, with John Rivera and Dennis Poquita tossing in 12 points apiece.
Jomie Mendez and Ellery George Ariate of ICT Group conspired for 26 points in a losing cause.
In the other game, E-performax clobbered Cebu Global, 60-40, to even its win-loss record to 2-2.
Britz Boncalon and Raymond Dennis Tan topped E-performax with 15 points each. Michael Adam Pagdalian and Ben Beleña had 13 and 12 points, respectively, for Cebu Global.
