SPEEDO age-group triathlon returns to Cebu

CEBU, Philippines – The SPEEDO National Age-group Triathlon Series 2009 returns to Cebu for the staging of its second leg on July 19 at the Alegre Beach Resort in Sogod.

The upcoming event, which covers one kilometer swim, 30-kilometer bike and 7.5 kilometer run, features an individual and relay competition.

The team category will have two or three members each.

Registration is pegged at P500 for the individual action, P1,500 for a group of three in the relay and P1,000 for two members.

Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP)-registered athletes will get a discount of 10 percent and 20 percent for students and senior citizens.

All the participants will also receive Speedo finisher’s shirt and free breakfast.

The deadline for submission of entries will be on July 15. Registration forms are available at SPEEDO-SM and Ayala Center.
