Rich Media evens series with Mandaue-B

CEBU, Philippines – Rich Media of Richard Mercado hit back at Mandaue Jaycees-B, 77-69, to even their best-of-three finals series at one game apiece in the Jaycees Basketball Association (JBA) last Sunday at the USPF gym in Brgy. Lahug, this city.

Rich Media staged a blistering rally in the fourth period to mount a 16-point lead, 60-44, but Mandaue-B threatened at 63-65 in the final 1:45 mark of the contest behind the tandem of Paul Alelu Flores and Jerome Acebron.

However, Mandaue-B could not get the job done because it committed costly errors just as they started getting hot.

 Beboy Potencioso and Jeremy Huang then provided the finishing touch as Rick Media lived and fight for another day.

Jazon Jae Estella and Huang each finished with 16 points for Rich Media, while Potencioso scored 13 points. Glenn Besanes and Dennis Que donated 10 markers apiece.

Flores, a former starting guard of the FEU Tamaraws, nailed 16 points for Mandaue-B, while Acebron, a former CDC Stallion, added 14 in a losing cause. – GGM (THE FREEMAN)
