Batch '84 wallops '76/83 in USJ-R alumni hoop tourney
CEBU, Philippines – Batch ’84 of Rey Gurrea and Roderick Bacalso whipped Batch ’76/83, 85-73, in the USJ-R High School Alumni basketball tournament last Sunday at the USJ-R Basak gym.
In the other games, Batch ’86 demolished Batch ’87, 101-81, while Batch ’88 hacked out an 81-73 win over Batch ’90.
Gurrea scored 25 points while Bacalso added 22 points for Batch ’84, which is now tied with Batch ’86 with 5-1 win-loss records.
Jojo Mante topscored for Batch ’76/83 with 27 points, while Filemon Lariosa paced Batch ’88 with 24 markers.
