Visitors take early lead in Cebu Darts
CEBU, Philippines – Visiting darters show their dominance early on by taking the first title at stake in the Mayor and Vice-Mayor’s Cup-Cebu City Darts Open 2009 at Baseline Sports and Recreation Center yesterday.
The tandem of Boy Gionson (Navotas) and Jake Ubaldo (Big 4 Manila) won the open doubles 701 by beating Empoy Lautengco (Robson) and Dante Dimaculangan (PAL) 2-0.
Nilo Janson (CHEDA Cebu City Ninos) and his partner Louie Soriano (Pier One) were the best placed local darters after finishing third.
Romel Bagotayao (Silay City) and Igo Calis (FDAMDI Davao) ended fourth.
The final round of this National Darts Federation of the Philippines ranking event will feature the youth singles, open doubles and the open singles. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
