Diabet spanks Orofer in Atan Guardo caging
CEBU, Philippines - Diabet ’84 kicked off its championship campaign with a 73-67 drubbing of Orofer in Division I of the 2009 University of San Carlos Boys High Alumni Basketball Association (USCBHABA) Atan Guardo Barkadahan Cup Second Conference at the USC-North Campus gym.
Diabet trailed by five points at halftime, 38-43, but unleashed a spirited 25-10 rally in the third quarter to turn the tables on Orofer, 63-53, heading into the final 10-minute mark of the contest.
Diabet was in control from there onwards.
The USCBHABA is presented by Uniherb Philippines, one of the country’s leading health companies that produces popular food supplements such as Arthro, Heartvit, Kidneycare, Diabet, Eyeberry, Athan, Slima and Hardman. Games are aired on Guardo TV Channel 6, a first in the league’s nine-year history.
