CEBU, Philippines – The Green K2S led by Nesto Kyamko dumped the Yellow-Drug Master, 62-56, for its third straight victory in the Still Fighting Athletics Association (SFAA) 2009 summer basketball tournament at the CEC gym.
Green took an impressive start, 36-23, and was never threatened the rest of the way. The best Yellow could muster was to pull within seven points, 40-47, behind a 17-11 rally incited by Michael Sumayana and Andot Ladonga.
Jun Seno paced Green with 15 points.
In the other game, Black eclipsed the Blue, 67-61, while Team White spanked Maroon, 87-72. Black and White now sport similar 2-1 win-loss records.
Tony Piloton and Narlon Bandolon had 12 and 10 points, respectively, for Black, while Ben Pitogo led Blue with 15 points.
