'Cebu Deep' swimming event on May 18

CEBU, Philippines - It’s all systems go for the “Cebu Deep” Crossing on May 18 at the Plantation Bay Resort Hotel in Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City.

The event, which will start at 5:00 in the morning, features a record 10-kilometer of continuous swimming from Plantation Bay Resort Hotel to Nalusuan Island.

World-ranked master swimmer Paul Vanhoven from California will spearhead the list of participating swimmers.

Sponsored by St. James Premium Water in cooperation with Nalusuan Island Sanctuary, the event aims to support the efforts of public and private individuals in restoring and preserving the world-acclaimed coral reefs in the region as well as in stopping dynamite fishing.
