AMBL nips L.A. in BAR
CEBU, Philippines - The AMBL Enterprises and Advertising of businessman Allan Lim scored a lopsided 101-81 win over the L.A. quintet to move into second place in the Basketball Association of Ramos (BAR) Vice Mayor Mike Rama Cup 2009 at the Brgy. Cogon-Ramos gym.
Team L.A. actually took a 25-15 lead behind the scoring rampage of former commercial player Kent Salvador, but lost its steam as the game progressed.
AMBL of coach Amor Ciabo countered with a daring rally in the second period to erase the deficit and take a 13-point advantage at the intermission, 46-33. From thereon, they dictated the tempo of the match with authority on the way to a 20-point demolition.
Robert Abasolo had 22 points, while Rey Jumamel and Lito Navarro added 12 points each for AMBL, which now holds a 5-1 win-loss record just a full game behind the undefeated pace-setter Ginga Hot Mocha Mix (6-0).
