CEBU, Philippines – It’s going to be a very busy summer at Fastball, not only on its batting cages but with two events taking place at the Aboitiz Sports Field near Makro in Brgy. Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
The upcoming events are the softball and baseball summer camp and a softball tournament.
The summer camp will start on April 13 and ends on May 1 from 4 to 6 pm daily. It is open for batted sports enthusiasts aged six to 16-year olds.
The softball tilt, on the other hand, will kick off on April 18.
A total of eight teams have already sent feelers to join 18-above action exclusively for non-commercial players.
Fastball owner Jesse Bernad said the warm reception and patronage that the Cebuanos and even foreigners who are currently based in Cebu have shown to them since the opening of the said facility pushed them to organize other activities other than pitching and batting.
“We don’t want to stagnate in batting, so we are doing this summer camp and organize competitions as well,” Bernad said.
