Cebuano netters ready for action in Head Penn tilt

CEBU, Philippines – A total of 15 Cebuanos will vie for top honors in the Head Penn Age-Group Tennis Tournament starting today at the Praxivilla tennis courts in Dumaguete City.

The Cebuano netters, under the aegis of SANCASE Developmental Training Pool handled by coaches Bobby Soquino and Christopher Minoza and baskstopped by Fr. Rey Talaugon, will see action in eight classes.    The multi-titled Siso siblings, who are sponsored by businessman-sportsman Jonathan “Atan” L. Guardo, Tavo’s Sport and Dunlop, will lead Cebu’s charge in the four-day contest.

Niño Siso will have a double entry along with Nino Mari Stefan Baylosis, Hannah Grace Espinosa, Francis Lambayan and Jan Godfrey Seno.

Siso and Baylosis will show their stuff in the boys 16 and 18, while Espinosa is fielded in the girls 14 and 16. Seno and Lambayan will competed in the unisex 10-under and boys 12.

Sallymae and Sallydine Siso, on the other hand, will strut their wares in the girls 16 and 18 respectively. Kristel Mae Buenacosa is the other entry in the girls 18.

Aside from Sallymae Siso and Espinosa, Cheska Tabotabo will also play in the girls 16, while his brother Derek will be in the boys 12.

The Camporedondo siblings Cyril and Ma. Sheena will campaign in the boys 18 and unisex 10-under, respectively.

Fritz Satera and Macmac Chan complete the Cebuano roster as they compete in the boys 14 division. —Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
